ICFAI on major expansion mode, plans to offer courses Nanotech
Bangalore, Oct 20 : Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFAI) which provides quality education in Business Administration through its India Business Schools (IBC) is very keen to enter new areas of education like Nanotechnology and Biotechnology, a top official has said.
ICFAI Director T K Krishnakumar Rao, speaking to UNI said in the next five years the ICFAI Foundation, which runs various business and technical universities across the country, would invest Rs 500 Crore to Rs 600 crore on setting up new campuses in various states.
Funding would be done through internal accruals and bank loans, he said.
"We are very keen in offering courses in rising sciences like nanotechnology and biotechnology. We want to offer courses in environmental engineering. The road map is to consolidate our presence and ensure that all our institutions get deemed university status," he said.
Dr Rao said that ICFAI had been forefront in opening quality educational institutions were other private institutions did not enter. This include the five states in the North East and states Jharkhand and Chattisgarh.
"By the year 2014 we want to grow into a multi-descipline education provider delivering quality educational products at affordable cost and good value through our inclusive institutions," he said.
