Actor Umashree escapes unhurt in accident
Bangalore, Sep 12: National award winning Kannada actress Umashree escaped unhurt in a multiple collision at Bidadi, about 60 km from here, while returning to the city last evening.
Police said the mishap occured when driver of a private bus applied break to avoid hitting a two-wheeler. But another bus rammed into it and the car in which Umashree was travelling hit the second bus.
The car was damaged. However, nobody was hurt. Umashree continued her journey in the same car.
She attended a felicitation function organised in the city by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to honour her on getting the award for her performance in 'Gulabi Talkies' along with Prakash Raj, who bagged the 'Best Actor' award for his role in a Tamil Film 'Kanchivaram'.
