UPA working tirelessly for poor: Rahul Gandhi

Amethi, Nov 26 : Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government has introduced big schemes to help poor come put of poverty.

"I have said several times that that by laying railway lines and by building airports, we will not pull the poor out of poverty," Gandhi said here.

"For this we have brought big schemes . First it was MNREGS and now food security scheme," he said.

Gandhi visited his parliamentary constituency Amethi where he laid the foundation of the Uchahar-Salon-Amethi rail line.

He also inaugurate two new trains.
