Lawmakers from states attend workshop

Hyderabad, Oct 11 : A research institute has organised a unique three-day policy workshop for members of legislatures to help them discharge their responsibilities better.

The India Leadership Workshop, organised by PRS Legislative Research and the Indian School of Business (ISB) - Hyderabad, aims to provide the legislators with in-depth research and policy support on issues of national and state importance in order to help them make more informed decisions while addressing key policy challenges in their states.

A total of 31 MLAs from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, Puducherry, Manipur, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh participated in the workshop.

The speakers at the workshop included Planning Commission member B.K. Chaturvedi, former Planning Commission secretary N.C. Saxena, and A.K. Shivakumar, who is a visiting professor at ISB and Harvard.
