Pakistan meanwhile summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner to raise concern over the "continuous ceasefire violations" by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the Line of Control (LoC).
Indian envoy Gopal Baglay was summoned by Pakistan's Foreign Office on Monday afternoon as the neighbouring country protested the ceasefire violations by the BSF which resulted in the alleged death of a Pakistani civilian in Rawalakot.
"Pakistan has expressed its serious concern over the continuous ceasefire violations by Indian border security force (BSF) across the LoC over the past couple of days," Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
"The Foreign Office summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner this afternoon to raise this concern which has resulted in the loss of an innocent civilian life in Rawalakot," the statement said.
Pakistan on Monday urged India to uphold the Ceasefire Agreement of 2003.
Indian military officials meanwhile rubbished Pakistani allegations and said that Pakistani troops were engaging in continuous cross-border firing, violating the ceasefire themselves.
The relation between the two countries soured after the killing of five Indian soldiers in an ambush by Pakistani troopers along the LoC in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Aug 6.
Indian Defence Minister AK Antony on Thursday made a fresh statement in the Lower House of the Indian Parliament holding that special troops of Pakistani army were involved in the attack.
However, Pakistan had earlier denied the allegations and said the country's troops did not kill the Indian soldiers in an overnight attack on a patrol party along the LoC.
