Providing security cover to Kejriwal: Sushilkumar Shinde

New Delhi, Jan 10 : Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Friday said Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvnd Kejriwal is getting 'security cover' without his knowledge.

"He refused to have security cover. However, we are providing him some security cover without knowing him," Shinde said while addressing a press conference on Friday.

Kejriwal on Friday refused to accept the 'Z' category security offered to him by the Uttar Pradesh government.

The Akhilesh Yadav-led Uttar Pradesh government offered to provide 'Z' category security to Kejriwal, reports said.

Shinde on Friday said the Centre has already written to all the Chief Ministers to be 'careful' about arresting youth belonging to minority communities.

"We have already written to all state CMs that they have to be careful while arresting the youth from the minority communities," Shinde said.

Shinde said minority does not stand for a 'particular community'.

"Those who are not involved should be released immediately," the Home Minister said.
