4 killed in Assam militants attack

Guwahati, Dec 27 : At least four people were killed in a militant attack and counter-attack in Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Friday, media reports said.

A group of Karbi Peoples' Liberation Tigers (KPLT) militants opened fired at Khowanigaon village people in Bokajan sub-division thereby killing four.

Following the attack, militants belonging to Naga Rengma Hills Protection Force launched a counter attack, said reports.

Some houses were also set on fire.
