Sushma Singh takes over as CIC

New Delhi, Dec 19 : Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday administered the oath of office of the Chief Information Commissioner Sushma Singh at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

She is the fifth Chief Information Commissioner of the Central Information Commission (CIC).

Sushma Singh joined the CIC as Information Commissioner on Sept 23, 2009.

Prior to joining CIC, Sushma Singh served as Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministries of Information & Broadcasting, Panchyati Raj and the Development of the North East Region (DONER).
