Car fire tragedy: victims were returning from Mathura-Vrindaban
Five members of a family, who were burnt alive in their car after an accident near Mudkhera village on Agra-Delhi national highway yesterday, were returning from a pilgrimage to Mathura-Vrindaban.
Family sources said the victims, hailing from Delhi, were returning after a visit to Mathura-Vrindaban when their car collided with a parked tractor on the highway.
The car caught fire immediately after the accident in which all the five occupants of the vehicle were charred to death.
The deceased were identified as Ashok Agarwal (65), his wife Manju (69), son Amit (40), daughter-in-law Seema (36) and grandson Shobit.
Police said the incident occurred when the CNG fitted car collided with a parked tractor and it caught fire due to blast in the CNG cylinder.
Bodies were sent to hospital for post mortem.
