CM leads Goans in paying homage to Baandodkar
Panaji, Mar 12 : Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today led Goans in paying homage to the memory of the first Chief Minister of Goa, late Dayanand Bandodkar on his birth anniversary at his memorial here at Miramar.
Deputy Chief Minister Francisco D'Souza, Health Minister Laximikant Parsekar, Transport Minister Ramkrishna Dhavlikar, Cooperation Minister Pandurang alias Deepak Dhavlikar, Deputy Speaker Anant Shet, MLA Lavu Mamledar, Chief Secretary B Vijayan former chief Minister, Shashikala Kakodkar, Former Speaker, Prof Surendra Sirsat, Yatin Kakodkar and Jyoti Bandekar also paid floral tributes at the memorial.
The Secretaries to Government of Goa, officers and prominent citizens were also present.
Later, Mr Parrikar and other dignitaries paid floral tributes at the statue of Bandodkar, near old Secretariat in the capital city.
