Joint Inter Services expedition flagged off in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Mar 12 : A joint Inter-Services expedition in the region of Rajasthan and Gujarat was today flagged off by Air Marshal Daljit Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command, from here.

The expedition, which is the first of its kind undertaken by the Golden Katar Signalers, aims to primarily develop synergy among the tri-services with BSF and Coast Guard for close coordination in creek, land, water, air and Rann of Rajasthan and Gujarat region, a defence release here said.

The expeditionary team consists of six officers and ten other ranks of various services. It will cover 1,839 km in a span of 11 days starting from Ahmedabad, Jaisalmer, Sundra, Munabao, Suigam, Lakhpat, Jakhau, Okha, Porbandar and ending at Veraval.

Air Marshal Singh commended Golden Katar Signalers for conducting such an expedition as it covers all places in Rajasthan and Gujarat along the international border with Pakistan, the release added.
