Delhi: 2 siblings found dead
New Delhi, Mar 2 : Decomposed bodies of two siblings, who were allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday, were found near New Delhi's Pragati Maidan area on Saturday, reports said.
A seven-year-old boy and his five-year-old sister were allegedly kidnapped from their schools on Feb 26.
The children's family had received a ransom call of Rs 40 lakh.
A relative of the children were quoted as saying by CNN-IBN: "My nephew's daughter and son were kidnapped on Tuesday at 1 pm from their school. We registered an FIR. We asked them to pick up a guy who was a suspect, but the police did not. Apparently, the suspect's uncle has some connections and they allegedly paid off the police. One of the two suspects is the landlord's son and the other is his neighbour."
Parents said they had hoped that the police would help rescue the children.
Media reports said the mother of the children was locked inside her house the day they were kidnapped from the school. The school authorities said the children had left that day with someone they knew.
