Bhandara, Feb 23 : While the police is yet to track down any suspect in the rape and murder of three minor sisters in Bhandara district of Maharashtra, yet another assault on a minor girl took place in the same area with a teacher now accused of raping a 13-year-old student.

Reports said the girl was allegedly raped by a 46-year-old teacher.

The man has been arrested.

The girl was assaulted on Feb 20 morning when the teacher in the name of dropping the girl in her school, took her to a desolate place and assaulted her.

Earlier, in the wake of the rape and murder of three minor sisters in Maharashtra's Bhandara district last week, the state government has reportedly suspended the headmaster of the school where they used to study.

According to reports, the government suspended the headmaster as he did not inform the police or the family of the minor girls after they went missing from school on Feb 14.

On Feb 16, the bodies of the three sisters were found in a well.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case so far.

The mother of the three minor girls demanded arrest of the perpetrators of the crime and their execution.
