New York, February 16 : Have you ever wondered what was the inspiration behind Beyonce's unique moniker?
No need to be mystified any longer.
According to the singer's own family, there's actually a quite logical explanation.
At Tuesday's premiere of Beyonce's biopic documentary, Life Is But A Dream, her maternal uncle Roland Beyince gave the scoop, the New York Post reported.
Apparently, Beyonce's mother Tina didn't think that they had enough boys in the family to keep the [Beyince] name going, so she gave Beyonce their last name as the first name.
Beyince revealed the news to Hampton Sheet publisher Joan Jedell at the Ziegfeld.
