Minor raped; family beat up accused
Family members of a minor beat up a youth for allegedly raping the seven-year-old victim in Alwar district of Rajasthan, police said on Monday.
The victim was allegedly raped by two youths at a house in Khuteta Kala village on Friday.
The accused were identified as Pappu Jogi (19) and Jagdish Dobhi (20).
On Friday, the girl, who was searching for her father, stepped out of the house and went to a nearby bus stand and asked the accused about her father.
Pappu and Jagdish reportedly took the girl to an isolated house and allegedly raped her.
The police arrested Pappu immediately after the incident, reports said.
The family members of the victim caught the other accused Jagdish and beat him up.
"The accused, Jagdish, who was on the run since the gang-rape case came to light on Saturday morning, was caught by the girl's family members while he was wandering at the local railway station," The Times of India reported.
"Some family members were searching for Jagdish at the local bus stand and railway station. They found him at the railway station and brought him to the Women's Government Hospital in Alwar," the newspaper said.
They made the girl identify the accused man. They then tied him to an electricity pole in the hospital premises and beat him with sticks," it said.
The police rescued Jagdish in an unconscious state and arrested him.
