I nearly got kicked out of Spice Girls, says Mel C
The turbulent relationship between the Spice Girls has been no secret, with Geri Halliwell famously walking out on the girl group in 1998.
However, Melanie Chisholm admitted the band nearly split up several times before then, with both Halliwell and Melanie Brown quitting "a few times," the Daily Mail reported.
In a documentary reflecting on their time together, Sporty Spice admitted that even she was once nearly thrown out of the group after a particularly stormy row.
In the forthcoming ITV special 'Spice Girls' Story: Viva Forever,' which is broadcast on Christmas Eve, mother-of-one Mel C recalls Halliwell and Mel B's fierce arguments.
"She'd (Geri) left before but not publicly. I mean, I think a few of them had left, well, Melanie and Geri left a few times," she said.
"I nearly got kicked out once as well, but that's another story. So yeah, I mean, it was difficult and you know, I think Geri would say these things herself. But you know she was having some personal issues and it's no secret that her and Melanie had a very fiery relationship in the past.
"They, they are the closest of all of the band. You know, they're absolutely in each other's pockets or they can fight like cat and dog," she added.
