Keeping your true love happy during the 12 days of Christmas is going to cost 65,964 pounds, which is 6.1 percent more than last year.
Those with the cash for the quirky 364 items repeated in the carol's verses would end up with 12 drummers drumming, 22 pipers piping, 30 lords-a- leaping, 36 ladies dancing, 40 maids-a-milking, 42 swans-a-swimming, 42 geese-a-laying, 40 gold rings, 36 calling birds, 30 French hens, 22 turtle doves, and 12 partridges in pear trees.
According to finance firm PNC Wealth Management, buying everything on the list just once (78 pieces) would cost 15,634 pounds.
The firm has compiled the total since 1984 when the smaller list cost 7,782 pounds.
