Rehman Malik meets Indian PM

Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence here.

According to reports, Malik has invited Singh to visit Pakistan.

Malik, who began his visit to New Delhi on Friday, is scheduled to meet Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon on Saturday.

After landing at the Delhi airport for a three-day visit, Malik said that the India-Pakistan "journey to peace" is progressing "very well" .

"I have brought the message of peace and love from the children, women and men, old and young of Pakistan... I am here to take the peace process forward," Malik told reporters at the airport.

Indian Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Malik on Friday jointly operationalized the new Visa Agreement between India and Pakistan, here.

The Visa-on-Arrival will come into effect from Jan 15, 2013 and the Group Tourist Visa from Mar 15, 2013.
