Fish restro celebrates winter carnival
Kolkata is all set to welcome the first chills of winter with mouth watering spicy fish delicacies served hot by the fish gourmet restaurant Fishfish on Friday.
Bollywood director of Barfi fame Anurag Basu flew down to Kolkata to launch the Winter Fish Carnival and try out some dishes.
Master Chef Debashis Kundu and the owner of city food chain Only Alibaba Aniruddha Guha Roy the joint partners of the project initiated the Winter carnival with some very unique exotic culinary delights from different parts of the world.
"We started our joint venture last month and till it's a big success, as it is the only set up with exclusively fish items. Kolkata has never experienced such an eatery catering only fish starters, sizzlers, kebabs and full coarse meal before this. People are benevolent appreciating from core of their hearts" said Aniruddha on this occasion.
A delighted Anurag Basu was served hot Catfish topped with Papaya salad, Fried Calamari, Chetal Macher Seekh Kebab, Chilie Crab as starters and Bengali's most favourite hilsa from Bangladesh namely Padmakalir Ilish with steamed.
"Fishfish in this Winter Fish Carnival has got some irresistible cuisines from across the globe like Fried Calamari (Moroccan), Prawn on Toast (Italian),Barbeque Prwan (English), Padma Hilsa (Bangladesh), Stuffed Squid (Lebanese), Stuffed Bekti (English), Chile Crab (Singaporean) and Prawn Red Curry (Thai) and Toffee Makhana in desserts would definitely grab all the foodies to taste these dishes once," Debashis said.
