Woman's mangalsutra snatched at Kandivali

A chain and mangalsutra, collectively worth Rs 1.15 lakh, of a woman were snatched by two unidentified motor-bike riders last night near Chavan Hospital at Kandivali in the western suburbs.
Police said here today that at around 2030 hours Ms Laxmi Karge (59) was walking to her home. near the Chavan Hospital, two motor bike riders came from behind and snatched her gold chain and mangalsutra, worth Rs 1.15 lakh and fled from the scene.
Police have registered a case of chain snatching and further investigation is in progress, sources added.
