Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has agreed to submit a bail bond to secure his release from judicial custody in the Nitin Gadkari defamation case.

His counsel, Prashant Bhushan, said Kejriwal had retracted following the observation made by Delhi High Court. 'You should submit bail bond first.

'You have you made it a prestige issue,' the High Court said.

The former Delhi chief minister is in Tihar jail following his refusal to submit a bail bond for Rs 10,000 in the case filed by Gadkari for being named in a list of 29 most 'corrupt' politicians.

A metropolitan magistrate, meanwhile, issued notice to AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai for their comments on its order sending Kejriwal to judicial custody.
