BJP fishermen's cell celebrates Modi swearing-in as PM
The fishermen's cell of Tamil Nadu unit of BJP today celebrated the occasion of the party's national leader Narendra Modi assuming office as 15th Prime Minister of India.
Even as preparations were being made in New Delhi for Modi to take oath of office in the evening, the fishermen's cell here distributed fish free from NaMo fish stall put up in Central Chennai area.
"We distributed four varieties of fish free to 282 people', informed president of the cell S Satishkumar said. The fish included Tuna, Koala and Mahi, he added.
"This was to celebrate our leader Modi's assumption office as Prime Minister", he exulted.
"The free distribution of fish was also to celebrate the release of our fishermen by the Lankan and Pakistan governments to mark the occasion", he said, and expressede confidence that the fishermen issue with the two neighbouring countries especially Sri anka would be amicably solved by the new Modi government.
