Prolonged use of Google Glass may cause eye pain
Wearing Google glass for long periods of time can cause pain in the eyes, an optometrist at Google says.
The company has warned its users not to wear the eyewear for a long time, as it is not designed to be used for reading and requires time to get adjusted.
A Google spokesperson reflected on this and said that the Glass is designed for micro-interactions and not for watching Friday movie marathons or reading novels.
According to the BBC, the product went on sale for a single day in the USA in April and was priced at 1500 dollars. Google had earlier sold it to 8000 individuals as part of their Explorer program.
Harvard Optometrist Eli Pelli asserted that it is unusual for people to look up for longer time and it would be uncomfortable. He also claimed that people who have complained of headaches had actually faced discomfort in their eye muscles.
Reports have disclosed that UK developers may have access to the device next month for usage.
