US-based Lutron launches energy saving light product
The US-based multinational Lutron Electronics Co, Inc, has launched its energy savings products and solutions that function wirelessly in Hyderabad.
The Company introduced energy saving products that come under TriPak family and function with wireless sensors, thereby managing lighting systems and saving energy, said in a joint press conference by Javier Segovi a (India Director) and M Chethan P K (Energy Manager) after launching of the products.
The product-TriPak can be installed quickly in about 15 minutes and does not need wired systems. Since there is no need for new wiring, it does not disrupt the occupants during installation.
Therefore, it is also suitable for heritage buildings and old structures, which need special protection, they said.
"The Indian market for energy management solutions is huge and provides opportunity for Lutron Electronics, which offers its products across the globe, immense opportunity to grow. The growing middle class, residential, commercial and industrial segments, looking for energy savings, can gain from the Lutron range of lighting solutions," said Javier.
He said the Pennsylvania-based designer and manufacture of lighting controls and architectural lighting control systems, said they have worked with some of the largest buildings globally including Empire State Building, Indian Parliament and are now seeking to expand presence in residential and industrial segments.
The wireless sensors adjust the lighting as per the occupant through wireless occupancy sensor and also change as per sunlight through daylight sensor.
In the process, they help save on energy consumption. Sectors such as hospitality, commercial and industry are already implementing these solutions, he said.
Lutron has introduced Energy TriPak application in India, which can be used in some locations such as equipment rooms and even in laboratories. Since it is retrofitted, there is no disruption to normal functioning, he added.
