Chandrababu Naidu hails Modi Extraordinaire
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu today attended the NDA meeting along with actor Pawan Kalyan, and hailed the election of Narender Modi as the leader of the BJP-led NDA and as Prime Minister-designate.
TDP with 16 MPs has joined the NDA front and Chandrababu Naidu is also likely to seek two Cabinet and two MOS berths in the Narendra Modi Cabinet .
Addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting in the Capital, the TDP chief and former NDA convener described Modi as a leader with 'extraordinary capabilities' and said under his stewardship India will find a place among the world powers.
"We extend on behalf of TDP all the cooperation needed to clean up the country and also develop it," he reiterated again and added that he has seen so many leaders, but Mr Modi's determination and enthusiasm is extraordinary."
Mr Naidu's turn around has stunned many political observers who had found him fuming at Modi in 2002 after the Godhara roits and had even demanded Vajpayee to dismiss him from Gujarat CM post.
Mr Naidu had also wowed to never shake hands with Modi and that he would also never share a platform with him and BJP in future.
Though Mr Naidu has been associated with the NDA between 1998 to 2004, this is the first time he is attended the NDA meet, as he had only supported the Atal Behari Vajpayee led NDA from outside as external partner even though TDP had 33 MPs and NDA had offered 8 berths then.
