Re-polling in 2 PS, Polling in 1 adjourned PS begins in Nagaland
As per directive of the Election Commission re-polling in two Polling Stations (PS) under Zunheboto district and one 'adjourned' Polling Station under Longleng district began at 0700 hours this morning.
Assistant Returning Officer of Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency Lok Sabha Election, 2014 Mr. Limsong told UNI that re-polling in Polling Stations, number two in Akhakhu and Polling Station number 25 Naltoqa under Suruhoto Assembly Constituency in Zunheboto district are continuing and an average brisk polling of about 20 per cent was reported till 1000 hours this morning. No untoward incident was reported from any of the two Polling stations, where voting was on. In Ladoigarh PS under Tamlu Assembly Constituency of Longleng district, where polling was adjourned on the Nagaland Lok Sabha elections on April 9, due to resistance by Assam Police and camping in the Polling Station at Nagaland Government constructed Ladoigarh Primary School building.
Assam Police was claiming that the Ladoigarh village is in Assam, where most of the voters are from Phom Naga tribes. However, as per order of the ECI, the polling is being held today in a temporary shed near Piching Nullah in Ladoigarh village, where voting is going on peacefully, Limsong said.
