Girls outshine boys in Plus Two pass per centage, overall 90.6 pc
Outperforming them again, girls secured 93.4 percentage of passes, among the 4,14,211 candidates who took the examinations in the Plus Two- Higher Secondary Examinations for the year March 2014, results of which were declared today.
The overall pass percentage this year was 90.6 per cent. The results were among school candidates.
Boys secured a pass percentage of 87.4 per cent, improving on 84.7 per cent registered last academic year. Girs had secured 91 per cent last year.
Compared to just 35 last year, 2,710 candidates secured cent per cent in Physics this year, 1,693 in Chemistry, only 652 compared to 682 last year, in Biology.
Just 15 students could score centum, in Botany, four more than last year. Only seven students could score centum in Zoology this year. Three thousand eight hundred and eighty two students scored centum in Mathematics, compared to 2,352 last year, 003 in Computer Science,2,587 in Commerce, 2,403 in Accountancy and only 605 in Business Mathematics this year.
