Train blasts: Alert sounded in MP
The Madhya Pradesh Police was directed to maintain a special vigil following twin blasts that rocked the Bangalore-Guwahati Express at Chennai Central Station this morning killing a female passenger and injuring 14.
"All superintendents and their Government Railway Police counterparts were told to monitor stations and other principal public places. People's activities are to be under the scanner at the stations. The intelligence machinery was also directed to be extra alert," a police spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, security was beefed up at stations in the state capital and other places.
