Haryana Education Minister Gita Bhukkal has said the department would start a helpline soon for the applicants who have sought admission in the schools under Right to Education Act.

List of students and their schools would also be released within two days. It has got delayed due to polling duties of officers in the Lok Sabha polls, she said.

A large number of students (in thousands) are awaiting the lists which will provide names of the schools where they have to seek admission.

The study session has already begun in the schools and general admissions are almost over but the poor students, who have sought admission under RTE, are anxiously waiting at home for the information to be released by the education department.

At the district headquarters, there is no one to answer the queries of the students who have applied for admission under RTE Act, sources said.
