The Tamil Nadu Towheed Jamad party which pulled out from the ruling AIADMK fold a couple of days back, and decided to support the DMK led democratic progressive alliance (DPA) in 36 Lok Sabha Constituencies of Tamil Nadu has decided to extend their support to the Congress in the remaining three Lok Sabha seats in Tamilnadu.

The announcement was made by party's state President P Jainulabdheen at a press conference here tonight soon after their urgent state executive adopted a resolution to this effect.

He said they are going to extend their support to the Congress in Mayiladuthurai, Theni and Kanyakumari, while the question of to extend their support to a lone Lok Sabha seat in the Union Territory of Puducherry was left to the party men.

He justified their decision of withdrawing their support to the ruling AIADMK, and said their decision was in protest against AIADM General Secretary and Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for her silence over the BJP's election manifesto which indicated that, if they came to power, they would evolve a common civil code, build ram mandir and other scap Article 370 from the constitution, among other things.

When a reporter asked if the DMK, after Lok Sabha election, extended its support to the BJP, what would be the party's stand, Mr Jainulabdheen said in such a situation they would teach a suitable lession to the DMK in the 2016 assembly elections.
