Pakistan's former captain Rashid Latif turned down a meeting with PCB chairman Najam Sethi who appeared keen to convince Latif to take up the chief selector's post after he had turned down the job early this week.

Sethi reportedly asked Moin Khan to set up a meeting with Latif and even though the former Test captain tried, his efforts were not fruitful, as Latif turned down the invitation saying that he is not interested in becoming the Chief Selector.

According to The Dawn, even Sethi has given up hopes on Latif, and said that as the former cricketer is not interested in the offer so the matter should be closed now.

With Latif's denial, PCB will have to search for a new Chief Selector.
