Emerging political scenario in Kerala hinted at a situation favourable to the CPI (M)-led Left Democratic Front, Congress (S) president Kadannappally Ramachandran today said.

Talking to reporters here, Former State Minister said he witnessed an 'LDF wave' while electioneering throughout the state.

Referring to Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and Defence Minister A K Antony's statement deploring violent politics, he said a national leader like his stature does not touched upon burning issues of the people including sky rocketing prices of essentials in the country.

He said the Centre and state government were hoodwinking the people by ignoring their burning issues adding condition of fishermen was worse prompting them to vote against the Congress-led United Democratic Front candidates in the state.

Kerala is facing a state of financial emergency due to shortage of fund, he said adding special sanction was needed to release fund for local bodies.

Describing the situation as miserable, he said there is no adequate fund for salary and pension adding the government was responsible for the precarious situation.

He said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy should have stepped down in the wake of adverse remarks by Kerala High Court over Kadakampally land scam.
