The IT and ITES Industry Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITsAP) today urged all political parties to include measures for the growth of IT and ITes in their election manifestos.


With major political parties preparing themselves for the ensuing General Elections for Parliament and State Assembly Elections, the association, an apex body of 300 IT and ITES industries in the state has come out with nine-page recommendations towards for accelerated growth of the Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The recommendations, which were submitted to all the major political parties, include enhancement of brand image and IT image of the State, focus on growth of IT and ITeS Sectors in Tier II Cities, setting up single window clearance, speed up infrastructure development projects, IT & ITES Incubation Centers in Tier II and III cities, incentives for Rural IT & ITES Hubs, improved frequency of Airline Services, Construction of Airports in Tier II cities, informed Mr V Rajanna, President of ITsAP.

The recommendations include enhancement of brand image and IT image of the State, focus on growth of IT and ITeS Sectors in Tier II Cities, setup single window clearance, speed up infrastructure development projects, IT & ITES Incubation Centers in Tier II and III cities, Incentives for Rural IT & ITES Hubs, improved frequency of Airline Services, Construction of Airports in Tier II cities, etc.

The Association also appealed to successive governments to create another IT District like Cyberabad to help stimulate growth of the industry further.
