Fake job racket busted: Two held
The city police have busted a fake job racket by arresting two persons.
Police also recovered net cash Rs 40,000, a car and electronic items worth Rs 2.6 lakh from them.
On credible information, Cyber Crime Police arrested Vengala Radha Krishna (33) of Kurnool district and P Millu Singh (33) of Odisha state yesterday for the offence, according to Additonal Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) Ms Janaki Sharmila here today.
She said that searching for jobs, the complainant posted her biodate on Quicker.com, olx.in and some other websites.
Later, the complainant has received a phone call from 8106394655 and introduced himself as Dilip from Tech Mahindra HR team and said that the job location was Tech Mahindra Pune, for fresher recruitment as Java software developer and there is three-months period for training and thereafter she would be transferred to Hyderabad.
Subsequently she received phone call for interview from mobile number 020- 66018100, mail id email@example.com and offer letter was sent from mail id firstname.lastname@example.org to her personal yahoo mail id email@example.com.
Accordingly she transferred Rs 80,000 from her husband A/c No 008010100776103 Axis Bank, Miyapur branch to the account of Millu Singh, A/c No 30256866973 SBI Tirmulgiri branch, IFSC code SBI N0002802.
Later, she went to Pune Tech Mahindra branch along with job offer call letter on March 19. On verification, she came to know that the offer letter was fake.
The accused Radha Krishna confessed that he had cheated six unemployed youth along with Partha Sarathy and Millu Singh so far.
The gang call innocent unemployed youth from Crazy call site and make the victims to believe that the call received belongs to an Multi National Company and there after conduct Mock interviews and issue fake offer letters by creating false mail Id from emkis.cz and cheated them, the police officer added.
