By Saleem Iqbal Qadri, Srinagar, Mar 4 : Union Minister Farooq Abdullah's 'maha-chor' remark is drawing flak from all the quarters with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staging a protest in Press Enclave in Srinagar, announcing that the party will file a defamation case against him for insulting and humiliating people of Kashmir across globe.

Scores of AAP workers led by Raja Muzafar assembled at the Press Enclave and raised slogans against Abdullah.

Talking to reporters, party's candidate for coming Lok Sabha elections from Central Kashmir Dr Raja Muzafar said that Farooq Abdullah has insulted whole Kashmiri nation and he is forgetting that it were the people of Kashmir who gave blood to his father Shiekh Abdullah when he launched Plebiscite Front.

"Who made Farooq Abdullah, his father and son the Chief Minister of the State. It were people of Kashmir and he calls them thieves. We are going to file defamation case in the Court of Law against him so that in future he will never dare to defame us," he said.

Pertinently, Abdullah on Tuesday denied describing the people of Jammu and Kashmir as "maha chors (biggest thieves)" of electricity.
