Best VPS Hosting in 2026 and beyond (Hostinger 20% Discount Coupon Inside)
London, Sept 30
If you've outgrown shared hosting — your site is slowing down under traffic, you need root access to install custom software, or you're running something that shared hosting's resource limits keep throttling — a VPS (Virtual Private Server) is the next logical step.
We've spent time evaluating hosting providers for our own infrastructure needs, and Hostinger's VPS lineup stood out enough that we're recommending it directly to readers.
What you actually get
Hostinger runs all four of its VPS tiers on AMD EPYC processors with NVMe storage and a flat 1 Gbps network connection -- no throttling tricks buried in fine print. Every plan includes full root access, free weekly automated backups plus manual snapshots, a public API for automation, and a free domain for the first 12 months.(Promotional pricing shown; standard renewal rates apply after the initial term.)
Which VPS plan fits you
KVM 1 -- a personal blog, a small side project, or your first time running a server yourselfKVM 2 -- a growing site with moderate traffic, or a couple of smaller projects sharing one server
KVM 4 -- a business site, a small SaaS app, or a Discord/game server with real concurrent load
KVM 8 -- agencies managing multiple client sites, or anything CPU/RAM-hungry
Deployment is one-click for Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and popular apps and control panels (cPanel, Plesk, CloudPanel), plus dev tools like Docker and n8n if you're building something more technical. Data centers are spread across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America, so you can pick one close to your actual audience rather than a single fixed location.

Finally switched from shared hosting last month and the difference is night and day. My WooCommerce store used to crash every time we ran a sale — now it just handles the traffic. Wish I'd done this sooner honestly 🙃 The 20% coupon is a nice touch too.
The pricing looks great upfront but please read the fine print on renewals. The $6.49/mo jumps significantly after the first term. This isn't unique to Hostinger — every host does it — but people get shocked when the bill arrives. Budget accordingly.
KVM 2 has been perfect for running my n8n automations and a couple of small client sites. 8GB RAM is more than enough for that workload. The Mumbai/Asia data center option was what sold me — latency to my Indian audience dropped noticeably. The 100GB NVMe is quick, no IO bottlenecks so far.
Anyone else find the "free domain for 12 months" a bit misleading? It only applies if you buy a new domain through them. If you already own your domain, that perk is worthless. Not a dealbreaker, but the article should mention it.
Running KVM 4 for our Discord community bot plus a small SaaS MVP. Concurrent load is fine, no throttling nonsense. Root access + Docker support made setup painless. I'd say for Indian devs this is one of the better value-for-money VPS options right now, especially with the coupon.
