Against crony capitalism, not capitalism: Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi, Feb 17 : After resigning as the Delhi Chief Minister, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said his party is against 'crony capitalism' and not capitalism.
"We are not against capitalism but crony capitalism, we are against those few businessmen who are looting our nation," Kejriwal said while addressing a meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
"The government has no business to be in business, it should be left with the private players," he said.
"We think of privatization as a religion. But governance is a bigger issue. Only with good governance can there be good business," Kejriwal said.
He said there is a need of corruption free governance for a good business environment in India.
"If the governance is good then whether a utility is in private sector or government sector, it will work," said the AAP supremo.
He also said business should be free from political interference and the government should encourage business in India with a more simplified system.
Moreover, speaking about the scarcity of jobs for youths, he urged industrialists to create incubators in colleges to give incentives to students who have ideas.
"The youth of our country should become job creators rather than job seekers," Kejriwal said.
This comes after Kejriwal as the Delhi CM, had alleged that Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani is supporting the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government fort the past 10 years and even he backs BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
"Three days ago we lodged FIR against Mukesh Ambani. Ambani is running the UPA government for the last 10 years. He is also backing Modi for the past one year. How else Modi gets so much of money?" Kejriwal had earlier said.
Kejriwal on last Tuesday said he has ordered to register First Information Report (FIR) against Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily, former petroleum minister Murli Deora and RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani for conspiring to inflate the prices of gas in the capital.
The FIR has been reportedly registered under sections dealing with criminal conspiracy, cheating and other sections of the Prevention Of Corruption Act.
Hours after the AAP government-backed Jan Lokpal Bill was not tabled in the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal resigned as Delhi Chief Minister on Friday after remaining in power for 49 days.
