One killed in rocket attack on Pakistani check post

Islamabad, Dec 13 : At least one soldier was killed and six were injured Tuesday evening when a rocket hit a security check post in Pakistan's northwest tribal area, a media report said.

A rocket fired from an unknown spot hit the check post in Shawal area of North Waziristan, Xinhua reported citing Urdu TV channel ARY.

All the injured were taken to a military hospital in Miranshah, the main town of North Waizirstan.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. (IANS -Posted on / )
