Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 24 :Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the
Aarogyasri Health Insurance Scheme being implemented in the State was benefitting a large
section of the poor by helping them avail free treatment at corporate hospitals.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the first phase of Rajiv Gandhi
Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, he recalled AICC President Sonia Gandhi's remarks
appreciating the efforts of the State Government.
He said all white ration card holders would be covered under the scheme in the
State.
Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foudnation stone for minority shopping
complex costing Rs 52 lakh and inaugurated the sports complex building constructed at a
cost of Rs 50 lakh.
Dr Reddy also inaugurated the 104 mobile health services, Fixed Day Health
Services (FDHS) and mobile vehicle to provide basic health services to those in villages
located beyond three kms from the Primary Health Centres.
