George Clooney raises nearly $1m for Obama's election campaign
Washington, Sept 3 : Hollywood hunk George Clooney has raised nearly 1 million
dollars for US presidential candidate Barack Obama by hosting an exclusive event in
Geneva, Switzerland.
The actor headlined the Swiss gala to raise thousands of dollars to inject cash into
Obama's race to the White House.
According to reports, Clooney was the star attraction at the event, in which over 170
U.S. citizens paid 1,000 dollars each to attend the lavish party.
Clooney has spoken out before in support of Obama.
"I've been an Obama guy for a year-and-a-half and I'm very excited by his campaign,"
Contactmusic quoted Clooney, as saying.
