Addressing the Rozgar Mela virtually, the prime minister highlighted that the reform would increase exports and give young people new opportunities to work on global projects.

"We recently saw record sales on Dhanteras and Diwali, setting new records and shattering old ones. This demonstrates how the GST reforms have given the country's economy a new impetus. This is creating numerous new employment opportunities in sectors like manufacturing, logistics, packaging, and distribution," PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister further said that they have signed various agreements with many countries to support Startups and MSMEs across the nation.

"Today, India is the youngest country in the world. We consider India's youth potential a major strength. We are moving forward with this vision and confidence in every field. Recently, the British Prime Minister visited India. During his visit, India and the UK agreed to increase investment in sectors like AI, fintech, and clean energy. The free trade agreement signed between India and the UK a few months ago will also create new opportunities. Similarly, investment partnerships have been established with several European countries," PM Modi said.

PM Modi later added that many opportunities will arise, and young people will be given new opportunities to work on global projects.

"These are expected to create thousands of new jobs. Agreements have been signed with many countries, including Brazil, Singapore, Korea, and Canada. These will increase investment. Startups and MSMEs will receive support. Exports will increase, and young people will have new opportunities to work on global projects. Many opportunities will arise," the prime minister said.

While the intentions are good, I hope the implementation reaches smaller towns too. Most opportunities seem concentrated in metro cities. Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities need equal attention.

Hope these opportunities come with proper skill development programs. Many graduates need training to work on global projects. The focus should be on quality, not just quantity of jobs.
