This is so heartbreaking! 30 sovereigns is a huge amount - probably her entire dowry. 😔 The family should have been more careful, especially knowing how common gold thefts are during weddings. Hope the police find the culprits soon.

No CCTV in this day and age? That's just irresponsible when you're keeping such valuable items at home. The police should check all the catering staff and decorators who had access to the house. These thefts are usually inside jobs.

This is why my family always keeps wedding jewelry in bank lockers until the actual ceremony. Too many greedy eyes around during weddings. Feel so bad for the bride - starting married life with this trauma.

Kannur police are usually efficient in such cases. The dog squad will definitely help track the scent if the theft happened recently. But seriously, who keeps 21 lakh worth of gold in a wardrobe? That's just asking for trouble.

This is why we need to change our wedding customs. Why put so much financial pressure on families with gold demands? The thieves saw an opportunity because they knew about the wedding gifts. Modern couples should opt for simpler ceremonies.

The timing suggests it's someone who knew the wedding schedule perfectly. Probably watched when the jewelry was being packed/unpacked. Hope the police check all relatives who visited the house - sometimes it's the last person you'd suspect.
