Amaravati, October 5

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that a master plan will be prepared to develop Srisailam as Divya Kshetram, and the issue will be discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Srisailam on October 16.

The Chief Minister conducted a review on the development of Srisailam with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and officials at his camp office on Sunday.

He directed the officials to send proposals for allotment of two thousand hectares of forest land to Srisailam Devasthanam for providing additional facilities, as devotees from neighbouring Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Telangana visit the temple in large numbers.

He said accommodation facilities should be increased without causing any loss to the environment.

He said Srisailam should be connected with national highways.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan suggested that the officials study the development programmes in Sabarimala and other major temples situated in the forest region.

Finally some positive development for Andhra's spiritual tourism! The connection to national highways will make it easier for people from Karnataka and Maharashtra to visit. Hope they maintain the temple's sanctity while modernizing facilities.

As someone who visited Srisailam last year, the current facilities are quite basic. The accommodation situation especially needs improvement. Good to see the government taking concrete steps.

While I appreciate the development plans, I hope they don't commercialize the temple too much. The spiritual atmosphere of Srisailam should be preserved. Studying Sabarimala's model is a smart move though.

Good initiative! Srisailam deserves world-class infrastructure. The forest land allocation should be done carefully - we don't want ecological damage in the name of development. Jai Andhra! 🌟

The coordination between state and central government for temple development is impressive. Hope this sets a precedent for other important religious sites across India that need infrastructure upgrades.
