Good to see IMD giving detailed forecasts. But I wish the prediction for rain was for more areas. "Isolated" means most of us in MP will continue to suffer this heatwave. The farmers in these dry districts need a proper monsoon, not just isolated drizzle.

In Bhopal, we are just used to 41-42 degrees in April. Partly cloudy sky with 8-10 kmph wind sounds like a regular summer day. No relief in sight for the next five days. Time to get the coolers and ACs serviced!

The temperature variation is interesting - from 16.8 in Pachmarhi to 44.3 in Nowgaon. Shows how geography plays a role. Hopefully, the predicted thunderstorm and lightning in those 7 districts provides some respite without causing damage.

Gusty winds of 30-40 kmph along with thunderstorm can be dangerous. People in Betul, Harda, Khandwa etc. should secure loose objects on rooftops. Safety first, especially with the lightning warning. Thanks to IMD for the specific district-wise alert.

The heatwave continuing in so many districts is worrying for public health, especially for outdoor workers and the elderly. Government should open more *shivirs* (shelters) and ensure uninterrupted power supply. This is becoming the new normal every summer. 😓
