According to an official release, the acronym SAMVAD embodies the core pillars of the initiative:Samanvay, Aatmanirbharta, Mansik Dridhta, Vishwas aur Vikas -- Amritkaal ka Lakshya, Dhyeya Sarvopari.

The seminar witnessed participation from senior representatives of the State Administration and key institutions, including the Vice Chancellor of Tezpur University, Inspector General SSB, Inspector General Sonitpur Range, Divisional Forest Officer, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Chairman of the Bar Council and Municipality, members of the medical fraternity of Tezpur including management representatives from private hospitals, Principal of the Skill Development Centre Mangaldoi, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Tezpur and Missamari, along with several other important stakeholders.

Addressing the distinguished gathering, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), GajrajCorps, highlighted JAI -- Jointness, Aatmanirbharta and Innovation -- as the guiding framework for building a secure, resilient and future-ready India in line with the national vision of #ViksitBharat2047, a release stated.

The GOC also emphasised the importance of coordinated action, convergence of institutional capabilities and time-bound implementation of achievable goals to further national development and regional resilience.

In a significant step towards enhancing civil-military cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) and Army hospitals under GajrajCorps. The collaboration aims to strengthen holistic mental healthcare through clinical support, professional training, research initiatives and community outreach programmes.

I appreciate the holistic approach of SAMVAD — combining Samanvay, Aatmanirbharta, and mental health. It's good to see the Army engaging with local universities, SSB, and medical professionals. However, I hope these seminars lead to tangible outcomes and not just photo ops. Let's see the implementation.

Finally, the Army is focusing on civil-military synergy in a structured way. The Gajraj Corps has always been active in the Northeast, and this SAMVAD initiative shows they understand the importance of working with local institutions. The mental health MoU is a game-changer for our jawans.

It's interesting to see mental health being prioritised in military spaces. The "Mansik Dridhta" pillar is crucial — mental fortitude is just as important as physical strength. I hope this model is replicated in other commands across the country.

As a student from Tezpur University, I'm proud that our VC represented the academic community. This kind of collaboration between the Army and educational institutions can foster innovation and research. The skill development component is also vital for local youth. Great to see Assam getting this attention! 🙏

The concept of "Samoohik Prayas Se Rashtranirman" is powerful — nation-building through collective effort. This seminar seems to have brought everyone to the same table. My only concern is about follow-through on the MoU. Let's hope the Army and LGBRIMH actually implement the programmes, not just sign papers.
