The Industries and MSME Department of Gujarat organized the "Single Click Payment Program" during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Surat on Thursday to ensure quick and transparent financial assistance to beneficiaries across the state, a release said.

Under this initiative, a total of Rs 1,349.50 crore was directly transferred via e-payment into the bank accounts of 11,029 beneficiaries simultaneously. This included Rs 299.75 crore to 7,495 MSME beneficiaries, Rs 538.76 crore to 3,423 textile scheme beneficiaries, and Rs 510.99 crore to 111 large industry beneficiaries.

Through such programs, the state government aims to streamline the payment process, making it more efficient, simplified, and technology-driven, ensuring timely support to beneficiaries of industrial and MSME schemes.

"The Gujarat government continues to actively promote industrial development, attract investments, boost production, and generate employment in the state. It is also implementing various incentive schemes to strengthen the MSME sector. The "Single Click Payment Program" ensures that beneficiaries receive financial assistance quickly and transparently,'' said Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.

Meanwhile ,the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC), South Gujarat, is set to be held on 1 and 2 May 2026 at AURO University in Surat, marking a new direction in Gujarat's industrial and modern infrastructure development. The conference will particularly focus on the state's progress and investment opportunities in sectors such as infrastructure, transportation, and advanced technology.

Impressive numbers, but let's not ignore the ground reality. Many small textile units in Surat still complain about delays in earlier scheme disbursements. Transparency is good, but the real test is whether this 'single click' reaches the smallest weaver or just the bigger players. Hope the follow-up is as efficient.

Vibrant Gujarat living up to its name! Taxpayers' money being used efficiently—direct transfers eliminate middlemen and corruption. The high-speed rail mention is exciting too, but let's focus on the success here: 7,495 MSMEs got Rs 300 crore in one go. That's real support for small businesses during tough times.

As an outsider looking in, this seems like a smart move. Digital infrastructure in India is leaps ahead of many developed nations—single-click disbursement at this scale is genuinely impressive. The transparency angle is key for investor confidence. If Gujarat sustains this, it sets a benchmark for industrial policy globally.

Focus on MSMEs and textiles is welcome, but what about the informal sector—the tiny workshops and home-based artisans? They often lack bank accounts or digital literacy. 'Single click' only works if everyone has access. Still, a step forward. Let's see if the May conference addresses inclusion too. 😊

This is exactly the kind of governance we need—no bribery, no waiting in queues, just direct benefits. The single-click payment system should be extended to farmers and other sectors too. Kudos to Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi for pushing digital efficiency. Aatmanirbhar Bharat starts with transparent administration!
