Nagpur, April 30

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar on Thursday reiterated that the "family and poltiics are are two separate spheres."

Sunetra Pawar told reporters, "From the very day I entered politics, I have consistently maintained that family and politics are two separate spheres; Supriya Tai (Supriya Sule) has articulated this point very well".

Meanwhile, Prahar Janshakti Party founder Bacchu Kadu on Thursday said that the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena will carry forward the ideas of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, and Ahilyabai Holkar.

Speaking to ANI, he exuded confidence in the victory of Shiv Sena in the upcoming Legislative Council by-elections in Bihar and Maharashtra, further stressing that the party will strive to reach every corner of Maharashtra with strength drawn from the ideals of the revered leaders.

"This bow and arrow will be wielded with full force for the sake of the farmers. Lord Ram's bow and arrow must reach every single household. We will carry forward the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, and Ahilyabai Holkar with even greater vigour. Drawing upon that very strength, the Shiv Sena will strive to reach every corner of Maharashtra," he said.

Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena has re-nominated Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe and Prahar Janshakti Party founder Bachchu Kadu, who switched to the Eknath Shinde-led party today.

Bachchu Kadu joined Shiv Sena in the presence of Deputy CM Eknath Shinde in Mumbai. He had earlier lost the 2024 Assembly elections from the Achalpur constituency to BJP leader Pravin Vasantrao Tayade by a margin of 12,131 (5.7 per cent) votes.

Bacchu Kadu talking about Shivaji Maharaj and Babasaheb Ambedkar in the same breath! That's a great combination of ideals. If Shiv Sena can truly represent farmers and common people like he claims, then good for Maharashtra. But words are cheap, we need action. 🀞

Wait... Bacchu Kadu lost by 12,000 votes in 2024 and now he's leading the charge for Shiv Sena in Council elections? And he's talking about reaching every corner of Maharashtra? Please, first get your own seat back. This is just political drama. πŸ˜’

Sunetra Pawar is spot on. In a democracy, personal and political shouldn't mix. But then you see so many dynasties in Maharashtra politics... it's contradictory. At least she's acknowledging the ideal. Let's hope more leaders follow this. πŸ‘

Interesting how they're invoking both Shivaji Maharaj and Ambedkar. In Maharashtra, that's a smart political move. But Bacchu Kadu switching parties after losing... feels like he's just trying to stay relevant. The real question is what these leaders will do for farmers and common citizens. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

The "bow and arrow" reaching every household is a nice metaphor but come on... we need real policies, not slogans. Council elections are important for policy-making. Let's see if any of these leaders actually talk about education, healthcare, or employment. πŸ™
