Having lived in Delhi for 3 years now, Chuna Mandi is always packed with people and small businesses. Evacuation in such areas must be incredibly tough. Big shout-out to the firefighters and police who went in to get people out - true heroes. 👨‍🚒

It's good that no lives were lost but this pattern of fires in Delhi is concerning. The Narela factory fire just two days ago and now Paharganj - both in crowded areas. I hope someone's investigating why buildings with storage on staircases keep getting approved. Safety first, yaar.

These densely packed markets in old Delhi are tinderboxes waiting to catch fire. The article mentions things stored on staircases - that's a major red flag for fire safety violations. Glad the rescue teams acted fast. Hope the local civic body inspects such areas proactively now.

Another fire in Delhi... this is not normal. I agree with others - it feels like negligence is being ignored. The Narela factory fire on the 26th should have been a wake-up call for checks. Thank God no casualties this time, but how long will our luck hold? 😔

While it's a relief that no one died, the article's detail about items blocking staircases is very worrying. In an emergency, every second counts - if people can't use stairs, it's disaster waiting to happen. Time for Delhi's fire department to enforce strict compliance in old city markets.
