Bihar BJP gears up for PM Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' on April 26
Patna, April 25
The upcoming edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' is scheduled to be broadcast on Sunday, and the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar has intensified preparations to ensure its wide outreach.
A preparatory meeting was held at the state BJP office in Patna, with Mandal presidents and programme coordinators participating virtually to plan for the 133rd edition of the programme.
Addressing the meeting, state BJP President Sanjay Saraogi said that 'Mann Ki Baat' serves as a monthly platform through which the Prime Minister connects directly with citizens.
He emphasised that arrangements are being made to ensure that the programme is broadcast at every polling booth, enabling maximum public participation and outreach.
"Our objective is to take the Prime Minister's thoughts to every booth through organisational strength and public participation," he said.
Sanjay Saraogi said that one of the key features of 'Mann Ki Baat' is that it highlights and appreciates individuals doing exemplary work across various sectors of society, bringing their contributions to national attention.
State Organisation General Secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsaniya also joined the meeting virtually and provided guidance for the programme's execution.
The meeting included detailed discussions on event structure and execution, strengthening organisational coordination, and ensuring wider public participation.
State Vice President and programme coordinator Rajendra Singh, along with the state-level team, outlined strategies to make the event impactful.
'Mann Ki Baat' focuses mainly on national issues and public participation, campaigns like 'Vocal for Local' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', and themes such as sanitation, women's empowerment, sports, science, art, and culture.
The programme has evolved into a key medium for direct communication between PM Modi and citizens, promoting the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India).
The April 26 broadcast assumes significance as the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections is approaching.

'Vocal for Local' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' are excellent themes that resonate with our youth. The BJP's efforts to take this to every booth in Bihar is commendable. Let's hope people actually listen and get inspired by the success stories shared.
I appreciate PM Modi's efforts to communicate directly with citizens, but this intense preparation for a radio show seems over the top. In Bihar, where basic infrastructure like roads and electricity are still issues, spending organizational resources on broadcasting a programme feels misplaced.
'Mann Ki Baat' is a unique initiative that highlights unsung heroes. I've heard about sanitation workers and local entrepreneurs being recognized. This is the kind of positive reinforcement that builds national pride. BJP Bihar team should ensure the content is translated well for local audiences.
Good that they're organizing this, but honestly, 'Mann Ki Baat' has become too predictable now - same format, same themes. In Bihar, we need practical solutions for floods, unemployment, and migration. Can the PM talk about these directly instead of just inspirational speeches?
I'm glad they're making efforts to broadcast it at every polling booth. Village areas don't always have good internet, so radio is still very relevant. Modi's connect with rural India through this programme is something other leaders should learn from.
