Assam BJP President Dilip Saikia on Thursday said the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP-led NDA government in Assam will be held on May 12 at Khanapara in Guwahati in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several senior NDA leaders.

Addressing reporters, Saikia said the oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara and is expected to witness the participation of more than one lakh people.

He said there is massive public enthusiasm across Guwahati and other parts of Assam regarding the formation of the new NDA government.

According to him, Prime Minister Modi is likely to arrive at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati at around 10.15 a.m. on May 12 and will then proceed to the Narengi helipad before reaching the venue at Khanapara.

Good to see democracy in action. But I hope the new government addresses real issues like floods, unemployment, and migration in Assam. Let's see if the promises made during elections are kept. 😊

The logistics of moving PM Modi from airport to helipad to venue with 1 lakh crowd - kudos to the security and planning teams. This is going to be a historic day for Assam. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

I see all the big NDA leaders coming - JP Nadda, Nayab Saini, and others. But I hope the new government doesn't become too top-down. Assam needs local solutions for local problems. Let the chief minister have some autonomy.
